The Brief
Our customer, a curtain and blind supplier, needed a tailored setup for his Citroen Berlingo XL that could handle the unique storage demands of his profession. With multiple types of sample books and tools for fitting jobs, he required an efficient layout that offered both open storage and easy access while on-site.
One key request was a practical way to separate his most frequently used samples from the rest, with the ability to grab what he needed quickly through a side door. Additionally, he needed space to securely store ladders and carry bags used during fitting appointments.

- Ample storage for large and small curtain/blind sample books

- Retain full-height access on one side of the van

What We Installed
- Half-sized false floor with 1 pull-out drawer for smaller sample books
- Rear pull-out drawer Open compartment within the false floor for ladder storage
- Custom box shelving unit on the right-hand side for large sample books
- Vertical and horizontal shelving system accessible via the side door
- Full ply-lining kit to brighten the interior and provide a clean finish
Final Outcome
The completed fit-out provided the customer with a well-organised and highly practical working van. By using a half false floor, we ensured full-height access remained available, making it easier to transport bulkier items or load additional materials for appointments.
With dedicated shelving for large books, a pull-out drawer for smaller samples, and external access to priority items via the side door, the customer can now work more efficiently on the go. The clean ply finish not only gave the van a professional appearance but also created a bright, welcoming interior to reflect the customer’s brand when visiting clients.
