Nissan Interstar L2 Fit Out
NISSAN INTERSTAR L2
Agricultural Specialists Fit-Out
The Brief
We carried out a fleet fit-out of four Nissan Interstar L2 high-roof vans for an agricultural company providing mobile servicing across farms and rural sites. Working in the agricultural sector requires service vans that can handle tough environments, unpredictable weather, and the demands of heavy on-site work. The customer needed a layout that was robust, versatile, and easy to maintain — with plenty of storage capacity for tools, equipment, and parts.
The company opted for a racking system that made the most of the van’s height without restricting movement or flexibility. Rather than installing false floors, they chose to keep the load area open from floor to ceiling, ensuring maximum internal height for transporting bulky gear. A tough, anti-slip floor lining was also essential for durability under heavy, muddy, or wet use.
Customer Requirements
- A strong, practical layout suitable for harsh and rural working conditions
- Long-lasting racking that could carry toolboxes, equipment, and varied service parts
- Open layout with no false floors to maintain full internal height
- Clean and simple access to gear from both rear and side doors
- Tough flooring able to withstand heavy use, dirt, and water ingress
What We Installed
- Full-length shelving to the driver side for general equipment, larger tools, and storage cases
- Divider racking to the passenger side to separate small parts, consumables, or hand tools
- Retained full interior height by not installing false floors — ideal for loading bulkier items
- Installed 12mm Hexa Phenolic flooring throughout for a strong, non-slip, water-resistant base
Final Outcome
These four Nissan Interstar L2 vans were transformed into tough, dependable service vehicles tailored for the agricultural sector. By keeping the full internal height of the vans clear, the customer can now carry larger equipment without restriction, making loading and unloading simpler when working on farms or remote sites.
The combination of full-length racking and divider shelving provides a well-organised setup that separates everyday tools from larger gear, ensuring quick access on-site. The use of 12mm Hexa Phenolic flooring offers a hard-wearing, slip-resistant base that’s built to handle the mud, moisture, and movement that comes with agricultural servicing. The finished layout delivers practicality, durability, and fleet-wide consistency — giving the company reliable vans that are truly ready for field work.
