VAUXHALL VIVARO LWB

Plumbing Contractor

Fit-Out

The Brief

A plumbing contractor approached us looking to transform his Vauxhall Vivaro LWB into a highly efficient workspace that offered maximum storage without compromising on headroom. With two sliding doors, he wanted a layout that provided easy access from both sides and a logical system for storing a mix of small fittings, larger tools, and everyday essentials.

He also required integrated pipe storage, a half raised floor for pull-out drawers, and a few trade-specific additions such as holders for sealant tubes and drill batteries. The goal was to create a professional, durable, and well-organised setup that could handle the demands of daily site work while keeping everything easily accessible.

Customer Requirements

  • Create a practical and organised layout tailored for a plumbing contractor
  • A raised floor with drawers and dedicated pipe storage
  • Angled racking suitable for trays and general storage with external access from the sliding door
  • Incorporate racking that can hold multiple Euro boxes for small parts and fittings
  • Include purpose-built holders for sealant tubes and drill batteries
  • Ensure a professional finish that can handle daily wear and tear

What We Installed

  • Half raised floor design with two pull-out drawers and pipe storage for 3m lengths
  • Angled racking for trays and flat shelving with external access from the sliding door
  • Euro box container racking to both sides of the van – 18 boxes in total
  • A handy storage box, sealant holder, and drill battery holders, easily accessible from the back doors
  • Entire fit-out finished in 12mm Hexa phenolic ply for strength, grip, and a professional look

Final Outcome

This Vivaro now works like a well-planned mobile workshop. The half raised floor gives two deep drawers that pull right out to you, so regularly used tools and fittings are grabbed in seconds without climbing into the load area. The integrated pipe channel keeps 3 m lengths protected, rattle-free and easy to load from the rear, which removes the usual tangle of loose tube and frees up the floor for bigger kit.

Along both sides, space for 18 Euro boxes creates a clear home for small parts – washers, olives, TRVs, clips, valves – so stock can be organised, labelled and checked at a glance. One sliding door is racked for external access, letting the engineer work straight from the kerb when space is tight; the other side remains open to keep a generous central aisle for bulky items and safe movement inside the van.

Trade touches finish it off: a dedicated sealant holder stops tubes rolling around and keeps nozzles tidy, while battery holders keep chargers and packs together and off the deck. Built in 12mm Hexa phenolic ply, the system is tough, easy to wipe down and resists knocks and moisture – giving a clean, professional look that will stay that way on site.
