VW Crafter - Chartered Surveyors Fit-Out

The Brief

A team of Chartered Surveyors came to us with a VW Crafter MWB requiring a professional fit-out that could support both storage and workspace needs. Their day-to-day work involves carrying a wide range of equipment, from bulky site kit and toolboxes to smaller, precise surveying instruments. The challenge was to create a layout that would house everything securely while still providing clear working areas inside the van.

The customer wanted a solution that was highly organised yet flexible, ensuring that essential tools could be accessed quickly without needing to unload the van. A fold-down bench was requested to create a practical work area inside the vehicle, while integrated racking and shelving would provide order and structure. Overall, the aim was to deliver a professional, tidy finish that maximised the Crafter’s load space while remaining practical for daily site use.

Final Outcome

The completed fit-out turned the VW Crafter MWB into a versatile and highly functional mobile workspace. With its fold-down bench and bulkhead workbench, the customer gained two practical work areas inside the van, allowing them to carry out tasks quickly and comfortably on site. The addition of divider racking and shelving above and below the bench made it easy to keep frequently used tools close to hand, while larger kit could be stored securely in the box shelving.

The Euro box racking system created order for smaller accessories and consumables, ensuring that nothing gets misplaced and everything has a clear home. Angled racking provided a tidy, space-saving way to carry toolboxes without compromising access.
