Booking & Process
How do I book?
Use our online booking form at /book. Choose between a design consultation (30 minutes, free) or book straight in for a fitting. We will confirm your slot within 1 working day.
How far in advance do I need to book?
Design consultations: minimum 2 working days ahead. Fittings: minimum 3 working days. Weekend slots are available by arrangement — contact us to request.
Is the booking confirmed immediately?
Your booking is provisional until we confirm it by email. We confirm within 1 working day. If your preferred slot is unavailable, we will offer alternatives.
Can I change or cancel my booking?
Yes. Call us on 07745 666442 or email contact@plyvanracking.com as soon as possible. We ask for at least 24 hours notice where possible.
Pricing & Fitting
Is fitting included?
Always. Professional fitting is included in the price of every job. We never present fitting as an extra cost.
How long does a fitting take?
Ply lining only: approximately 3 hours. Racking only or drawer system: half a day (morning or afternoon). Racking and ply lining together, or a full kit-out: a full day (8:00–17:00).
Do you provide quotes before I commit?
Yes. Book a free 30-minute design consultation at our workshop. We measure up and provide a written quote with no obligation to proceed.
Do you work with VAT-registered businesses?
Yes. We invoice with VAT. All pricing can be provided ex-VAT for business customers.
Products & Compatibility
Which vans do you fit?
We fit racking and ply lining to all major van manufacturers: Ford, Mercedes, VW, Vauxhall, Citroën, Peugeot, Renault, Fiat, Toyota, Nissan, Iveco, MAN, Maxus and others. Contact us if you have an unusual vehicle.
What type of plywood do you use?
Marine-grade plywood throughout. This is more moisture-resistant and structurally stronger than standard construction ply — important in a commercial vehicle environment.
Can I add to my racking later?
Yes. Our systems are designed to be extended. Additional shelves, drawer units and overhead lockers can be added to existing Ply Van Racking installations.
Do I need ply lining if I have racking?
Ply lining is recommended but not mandatory. Our standard approach is to fit ply first and mount the racking over it. This gives a cleaner result and better protects the van's bodywork.
Do you ask about door type for large vans?
No. All large vans (LWB and MWB) are assumed to have barn doors. Our large van systems are built for this configuration.
Fleet
Can you kit out a fleet?
Yes. We work with fleets of any size — 3 vans to 100+. Volume pricing applies to fleets of 3 or more. Contact us for a fleet quote.
Can you guarantee a consistent spec across a fleet?
Yes. We build to a documented specification and quality-check every van before return. All fleet jobs are built in our workshop, not subcontracted.
